The INDEPENDENT TELEPHONE COMPANY, INC. (INTELCO) has been serving the telephone requirements of the Municipality of Biñan, Province of Laguna for the last fifty (50) years. The Company provides telephone services to residential, commercial and other business establishment within the twenty four (24) Barangays of Biñan, its franchise area.
INTELCO is duly enfranchised under Republic Act # 8615, Certificate of CPCN Case No. 93-007 and approved by the National Telecommunication Commission on July 19, 1999 granting the company to construct, establish, install, maintain and operate local exchange network in the Municipality of Biñan, Laguna.
In line with its commitment to provide quality services and in response to the call of the government to improve and modernize the telecommunication industry, INTELCO was among the first telephone company to introduce the use of electronic switching system employing the latest state of the art technology utilizing computer to guide and control the entire operation of its telephone system. The company is continuously developing its telephone network by installing more lines through the expansion program projects of its outside plants and the construction of the local exchange.
Intelco subscribers include local government offices, manufacturing plants, major commercial and savings banks, private and exclusive schools, first class subdivisions and villages, malls and other commercial/business establishment, INTELCO is relatively one of the biggest firm in Biñan, Laguna. As member of Philippine Association of Private Telephone Companies, Inc. (PAPTELCO), INTELCO with its digitized equipment/facilities have direct access to over 50 telephone companies throughout the country, and is able to provide services such as National & International Direct Dialing (NDD/IDD), 1-800 toll free, Interconnection with PLDT (fiber Optic), Bayantel, PT&T and Digitel and digital lines for Internet and Data Communication link-up (Dial-up Internet, Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL), Wi-DSL Wireless Boardband and Voice over Internet Protocal (VoIP)) to all its subscribers.
